We have this great park near our house called Rock Canyon Park that is shaped like a giant bowl. It is great for sledding in the winter and just running around like crazy in the summer. We went to this park one day to fly our new black and white orca kite, (Willy), but there was no wind. Honestly, we knew there was no wind before we left for the park, but we were so desperate to get outside and do something in the beautiful weather, we all pretended to have complete faith that a little breeze would spring up between piling into the minivan and arriving at the park. After a few feeble attempts to get the kite up in the air, Clark and I gave up. But kids are experts at entertaining themselves, so after they realized that Mom and Dad were just going to sit there, they began a game to see who could roll down the hill the fastest. Jake declared himself the winner overall, but the official results are still a little hazy.
